Play a key role in improving population health in Leicester and more specifically improving the provision of Tobacco Dependency care in Leicesters hospitals.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the NHS Tobacco Dependency Programme across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (LLR), targeting Acute, Mental Health and Maternity patients. This is a partnership programme which involves collaboratively working with many stakeholders across organisations such as Local Authority Public health teams and community stop smoking teams, the University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL), Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT) and the Integrated Care Board (ICB).
Join our enthusiastic team of Project managers and NHS based Tobacco Dependency Advisors (otherwise known as The CURE team) who aim to support all smokers admitted to hospital through appropriate medication and empathetic and friendly behavioural advice at bedside, which will enable them to start their journey to quitting and improving their overall health.
You'll have flexibility for hybrid working with the expectation to split the week between remote and office-based working. Office based working will be available at City Hall and Leicesters Hospital sites (Glenfield Hospital, Leicester Royal Infirmary and The General) to suit the needs of the role., Providing critical project assistance, youll organise and co-ordinate current and new projects that aim to improve quality of care and service outcomes. Youll assist with co-ordination and delivering of staff training, build relationships with hospital staff, raise awareness of the CURE team through marketing and communication activities and advocate the importance of Tobacco treatment for every patient identified. Youll set up and manage meetings, take minutes, and monitor actions for services and strategic groups such as the LLR NHS Tobacco Steering Group. Working with both primary and secondary organisations, youll support with tasks to deliver quality improvement projects and evaluations, using data analysis, national resources, and innovative thinking. Youll provide other support needs in relation to finances, preparing documentation, and dealing with enquiries from both staff and public.
