Bursar / Finance Manager (3 days per week)

The Governors are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Bursar/Finance Manager to play a key role in the financial management of the School and provide support through the next stage of its development.

Moorfield School is a successful, independent, co-educational, IAPS prep school for pupils aged 2 – 11 years, situated in the beautiful town of Ilkley with enviable views across the Wharfe Valley.

It prides itself on being a family school which maintains a friendly, caring environment while at the same time achieving high standards and outstanding academic successes. The School is non-selective and its strong ethos has threaded its way through the school’s history encouraging kindness, confidence and responsibility.

Founded in 1930, Moorfield moved to its present site in 1960. Careful investment by the Governors over many decades has resulted in an impressive building and grounds. The most recent ISI inspection in October 2024 found the School to be fully compliant, meeting and surpassing the required standard in all areas with resounding success.  The child-led approach to the youngest pupils has a ringing endorsement from professional external moderators. Our Year 6 children proceed confidently to their first choice of senior school.
