Full Job Description
We're looking for Master Data Specialists to join our growing team and play a crucial role in shaping how we handle Customer, Vendor and Product data. If you're naturally curious, love solving puzzles and thrive on making things work better for everyone around you, we want to hear from you. You'll be stepping into a collaborative team that's expanding to take on exciting new responsibilities around our data. You'll collaborate with teams like Sales, Marketing and Purchasing, acting as the go-to person to ensure that the data foundations are rock-solid, allowing the rest of the business to move confidently and efficiently. This is more than just a support role - it's about making life easier for others, spotting patterns and finding smarter ways to work. If you're someone who takes pride in getting things right, enjoys the buzz of internal collaboration and can keep an eye on both the details and the bigger picture, you'll fit right in. As part of the team, you'll:
- Handle queries that come through the Service Desk in terms of data, liaising with the relevant areas of the business to ask the right questions and resolve
- Identify and investigate issues related to master data and take corrective action where appropriate
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure that communications and relations are effective
- Support the evolution and development of the data tools, and architecture providing high volume, efficient, insightful and accurate reporting.
- Having responsibility for making recommendations for potential improvements to our products' offering and rating structure such as through external data sources.
- Think creatively and identify ways to improve our outputs, including better ways to present data.
- Familiarise and become expert in third party data sources used within the team.
- Promotion of best practices within the team and outwardly to the rest of the business.
You're a curious and keen problem solver with the ability to take ownership and be accountable within a fast-moving, demanding environment. To thrive in this role, you'll be: - Experienced in using Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Detail-oriented and accurate, with a strong sense of ownership when it comes to your work
- Able to juggle priorities and stay on top of tickets and queries due to skills in time management and organisation
- Calm under pressure and open to feedback
- A real people person, confident in speaking with colleagues across the business
- Presentation skills using PowerPoint would be beneficial.
- Dependable and focused on execution.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
- Highly numerate with good analysis skills.
- Highly motivated and self-driven individual. Desirable skills include:
- A degree, 2:1 (or equivalent) or above in a STEM or strong numeric discipline
- Knowledge of Python or other coding languages
- Experience of working as part of a project team, supporting and delivering within a structured environment
- Experience with Microsoft Visio or similar tools
At Exertis, we believe that together, we can achieve more. Our inclusive culture celebrates diverse perspectives and encourages everyone to turn challenges into opportunities. You'll have access to: - Tailored career development paths designed to help you thrive
- Employee resource groups, including Women at Exertis, Enable (for our Neuro-Divergent and Disability community) LGBTQIA+, Ethnicity and more
- A vibrant and collaborative workplace where your voice matters
Competitive salary - 5 weeks of annual leave + bank holidays and the option to purchase more
- Paid time off for your birthday and volunteering opportunities
- Comprehensive parental leave packages and well-being programmes
- A supportive and inclusive environment where your growth is our priority Flexible Work Options: We value diversity and inclusion and champion a culture where everyone feels valued, included and celebrated. We're open to discussing flexible work arrangements. If it's right for our customers, our business and for you then we'll do what we can to support it.
