Full Job Description
-To actively market the service to a range of community organisations to facilitate the referral of participants from the relevant target groups
-To effectively assess participants barriers to the labour market and draw up plans to address these barriers
-To offer support at key decision points in the participants journey towards employment
-To be responsible for a caseload of identified families/individuals and working in partnership with other agencies, provide information, advice and guidance to help them become better prepared for employment
-To liaise with Jobcentre plus and other organisations appropriate to the project and attend networking and other meetings as necessary
-There may be the need to occasionally work weekends/evenings
We are looking for
The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with a range of people and organisations
-The ability to manage and prioritise own workload including meeting deadlines
-To be qualified to at least IAG NVQ Level 3 or to be willing to work towards this qualification
-Experience of working with local communities or experience of community development
-An understanding of partnership working within a multi-disciplinary environment
-A knowledge and commitment to work towards the Trusts aims and objectives
-An understanding of both equal opportunities and social inclusion
-A non-judgemental, empathic approach with people
-Someone who is computer literate
