Full Job Description
The Associate Director for Lived Experience and Corporate Coproduction will be responsible for the oversight and strategic and operational leadership of the Corporate located Lived Experience and Co-production Teams within MPFT, compromising of the Wellbeing and Recovery College, Coproduction and Involvement team and Coproduction in Continuous Improvement focused colleagues. You will guide and support these colleagues in MPFT's interface with communities, ensuring we hear and respond to patients, service users and carers as effectively as possible, wherever possible partnering directly with the people we serve to identify the innovative solutions to complex health and social care challenges.
Proposed interview dates for this position will be the 15th and/or 16th May 2025, You will advise the Deputy Director on the strategic development of the co-production and lived experience agendas with the corporate teams at MPFT, ensuring that all lived experience workers meet professional standards and all workstreams are guided by recognised best practice. The postholder will also act as a member of the Director for Lived Experience's senior management team and hold delegated responsibility on behalf of the Deputy Director for Lived Experience when required.
To assume the role of most senior practitioner in the lived experience workforce within corporate services; providing effective strategic professional and clinical leadership to all lived experience workers across the services;
Collaboratively work to support the development and articulation of best practice in the lived experience workforce, providing assurance of effective governance across the profession;
To ensure personal recovery principles and a social inclusion framework are retained at the heart of all lived experience workforce roles, ensuring that people who use services and their supporters participate and contribute to the process;
To provide support to external partners such as Higher Education Institutions, subcontractors and others in order to facilitate and promote recovery focussed practice and social inclusion, in line with the Trust's vision, To ensure that the corporate based lived experience workforce, Wellbeing & Recovery College staff and Coproduction and Involvement focused colleagues are kept updated regarding national, system, region-wide and Trust developments;
To represent the lived experience workforce and coproduction focused workforce across MPFT in relevant local, regional and national forums which benefit the Trust;
To lead in the development and implementation of planning and strategies for the corporate lived experience workforce and co-production agendas;
To liaise regularly with Trust Professional Leads for Lived Experience Practice and other corporate directors regarding development of lived experience services, co-production and involvement within their area;
To support the Trust in its contribution to the wider public understanding of what it means to have lived experience of a life affecting health journey, and the reduction of stigma and discrimination
