Full Job Description
1-3 hours / week This role is primarily home-based and flexible. We are open to different levels of commitment. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can contribute, Help us champion better health! We are looking for a volunteer trust fundraiser to support our work in health prevention. Use your skills to help more people live healthier lives. Flexible, rewarding, and impact-driven.What will you be doing? The Trust Fundraiser will ensure that Health Exchange can continue to educate, motivate and help people make changes which enable them to live healthier lives. This role focuses on building relationships, conducting research, and drafting compelling funding applications and letters to trusts and foundations. Your efforts will directly contribute to securing vital funding to sustain and expand our health promotion and community wellbeing services. This flexible role can be adapted to your availability, and we welcome remote working with occasional meetings in Birmingham if possible.
- Identify and research funding opportunities from charitable trusts and foundations that align with HEx's objectives.
- Support the development of a trust fundraising strategy, helping to prioritise key funders.
- Work with the team to gather impact data, success stories, and evidence to strengthen applications.
- Provide advice and guidance to strengthen HEx's long-term fundraising approach., As a Trusts & Fundraising Volunteer, you will play a key role in securing funding for our health promotion offer by drafting compelling applications and letters to trusts and foundations. You will work alongside one of our key service areas, to submit proposals to support the applications. Additionally, you will assist in researching new local grant-making opportunities and may contribute to wider fundraising efforts across the organisation. Your work will directly support Health Exchange's mission to create healthier, more resilient communities

- Market research, We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual who is passionate about health equality and has fundraising expertise, particularly in securing grants from trusts and foundations.
- Enjoy talking to new people and have excellent communication skills.
- Experience in trusts and foundations fundraising, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector.
- Research skills to identify relevant funders and funding opportunities.
- Craft engaging applications, and inquiry letters that captivate funders communicating Health Exchange's goals, activities, and impact.
- Passionate about health prevention and health inequalities.
