Full Job Description
+ They will work closely with the bereavement midwives to ensure family engagement is facilitated and that family voice is heard and is incorporated into reviews.
+ May be involved in difficult and highly emotional family situations surrounding issues of pregnancy loss and fetal abnormality.
+ Manages highly emotive and difficult conversations with service users and their family. Communicating information about child bereavement, and managing patient response, including potential verbal abuse.
+ They will maintain responsibility for the organisation of PMRT multidisciplinary review meetings, and consideration of external agencies/trusts that may need to be invited to review meetings.
+ Present cases at the multidisciplinary review meetings.
+ Undertake critical assessment of cases through PMRT review process, whilst maintaining a safety culture .
+ Work with the bereavement midwives and consultant body to ensure that families are informed of review findings. This might be by face-to-face meetings or in writing.
+ Work closely with the Clinical Governance Midwives to ensure that learning identified from PMRT reviews is implemented into practice in a timely manner to support ongoing learning and improvement across the trust.
