As a growing charity with multiple sites, fundraising is a crucial part of what we do here at Portland. As Fundraising Executive, you will be responsible for raising funds from Trusts and Foundations to meet agreed income targets. This will include networking for contacts; writing high quality fundraising applications; and producing detailed follow up reports. Although there will be elements of taking part in fundraising activities such as our annual Spring and Christmas fairs, this role will mostly be office based, working within a supportive and thriving team to generate funding for multiple projects across our charity.

We are seeking a personable and approachable Fundraising Executive to join our small and friendly Fundraising team here at Portland Charity. The successful candidate will have proven experience in fundraising, particularly with Trusts and Foundations, and they will be able to demonstrate strength in writing high quality and engaging fundraising applications and reports., We are looking for someone who collaborates well with others and is a supportive and encouraging team member. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as being IT proficient. To be successful in this role, it is imperative that you can manage your own workload and work well independently, achieving agreed income targets. You will be a person-centred individual who can form strong working relationships with external funding bodies, along with members of multiple teams across the charity.,

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Continuous Professional Development specific to fundraising
