Full Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Junior Information Analyst within our Hewitt Fertility Centre team. The role will be to support the Hewitt Fertility Centre and be forward thinking in the use of new technologies to enhance the production and provision of Information within the Trusts and the production of Statutory reporting and ad hoc reporting., To provide a customer focused, technically competent information analysis and reporting service incorporating performance monitoring, statutory reporting, and ad-hoc data analysis.
The role will support the Analysis and production of data for both statutory and Divisional requirements. The role will be expected to liaise with others both within the department and external to the department to deal with requests and queries, offering, advice and support to ensure that data is validated, robust and accurate, referring to more senior colleagues when required.
The role will support in the development of existing and new reporting requirements and assist in the analysis of data to ensure robust decisions can be made on data provided by the Information Team. With support of more senior staff within the team the role will use a range of tools to extract, interpret and present data as required.
The role will be supported in their personal development through various training methods provided by the Trust, other NHS bodies, and external resources and the individual will be expected to be committed to their own personal development., To assist in the production and review of standard operating procedures relating to key tasks with the Team
To complete all tasks assigned using the Information Teams standard operating procedures.
Responsibility for ensuring data is correctly extracted from Trust administration systems within specified timescales and escalated to a more senior member of the Team should any issues arise.
To assist in the analysis of data using the software tools most suited to the identified data source.
Create queries and reports in SQL / Power BI / Excel and other reporting tools as appropriate
To strive to continually improve the quality of information provided to service users, by implementing and proposing changes to practice in their current area of work.
To support in the implementation of mandatory changes applicable to the Information Team including the development of new data sets and submissions..
Support the more senior members of the team to ensure that the Trust has a complete understanding of its performance against all targets and standards.
To support the timely production of the Trust Performance report and ensure that they are received by the appropriate individuals, at the scheduled times.
To support in providing advice and guidance regarding data and performance target definitions as required.
To gain knowledge of the main national and local policies and assist in providing expert advice, with support of more senior colleagues in the Team.
To support the timely and accurate production of ad Hoc / Foi requests.
Use knowledge of data collected and processed to identify a suitable information source, considering specific requirements, and Seeking advice from supervisors when required.
Confirm data quality by checking against comparable data or referring to another member of the information team to check analysis work as appropriate.
