Full Job Description

The Digital Transformation Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the Enabling Digital Programmes within the Healthier Futures Transformation Plan are well defined and understood both within the organisation, with our wider partners and national teams. This role will manage a portfolio of different initiatives and will develop comprehensive business cases to justify digital initiatives, identifying and articulating the benefits, and creating robust change management approaches to ensure successful implementation. The Transformation Manager will need to work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders and build strong lasting relationships for the duration of the programme. This includes healthcare professionals, IT teams, external partners, other NHP sites and the wider healthcare technology market to define the transformation strategy. This includes understanding the impact of digital technologies on hospital operations, patient care, and overall efficiency. Additionally, the
Transformation Manager will ensure the organisation is prepared for change by developing and implementing strategies to facilitate readiness and smooth adoption of new digital tools and processes.
The role also includes managing devolved elements of the programme budget, ensuring thatfinancial resources are allocated effectively. The Programme Manager will have financial oversightresponsibilities, including tracking expenditures, forecasting financial needs, and reporting on budgetstatus to senior management. They will be responsible for defining the investment portfolio for anumber of technologies associated with the Healthier Futures Programme, and will support theDigital Programme Manager ensure that digital initiatives can be prioritised and implementedeffectively over the course of the programme, and for the hospital opening. This involves evaluatingpotential technologies, liaising with the market, assessing technology alignment with both theprogramme and wider organisation's goals, and making recommendations about resourceallocation.

Day to day, the Transformation Manager will be responsible for managing subgroups within theprogramme, and associated deliverables within the workstream, ensuring the delivery of vitalcomponents to the Healthier Futures Programme, to ensure its success. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in digital technologies, projectmanagement, and healthcare systems, who can effectively manage relationships andinterdependencies between various workstreams and departments., 1. Produce current state business processes, designed in partnership with Subject Matter Expert's (SME) including medical, nursing, AHPs, administration staff,etc.

2. Consult on the future state business processes, as designed with SME's, to provide the opportunity for wider stakeholders to acknowledge and highlight issues with the future processes and to begin to socialise the new ways of working, recognising that this is a significant cultural/behaviourpiece.

3. Review each 'Intelligent Hospital Capabilities, and different technologies and ensure the appropriate amount of change is being applied at the initialimplementation

4. Help test each technology, incorporating user acceptance testing with a wide select colleagues within the servicesaffected.

5. Provide effective and respectful challenge, holding responsibility for many decisions taken in the collaborative documentation review process to ensure the Trust's digital solutions are is robust, effective and user friendly.

6. Create Policies, Guidance and SOPS (standard operating procedures) drawing in the best practice nationally and regionally and where required, recognising agreed speciality pathways.

7. Increase confidence and digital literacy throughout the workforce to support our teams' acceptance of thechange.

8. Support training prior to the any technology "go live" periods. .

9. Provide 'Go live' and stabilisationsupport.

10. Support optimisation of the technologies into Business As Usual (BAU) utilising the Trust's Continuous Improvementmethodology

11. Work collaboratively colleagues from Mid and Cheshire to build a safe, effective, evidence-based system which meets the health and care knowledge, and information needs of patients andclinicians.

GOVERNANCE

12. Ensure accessibility of the technologies are designed and built to give the correct access level in conjunction with staff competencies, training, IG and data protectionrequirements.

13. Ensure any SOPs, Policies and Guidance are produced in accordance with the Trust's standards and are agreed and communicated through the existing Trust governancestructures.

14. Support the Trust to ensure adherence to information governance, data protection and digital security is maintained, and staff understand the importance of this in relation todigital records.

15. Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures and guidelines for self and others, by taking action/alerting senior management team if practice appears to contravene policy, or if concerned about any aspect of patientcare.

MANAGERIAL/LEADERSHIP

16. Provide compassionate leadership to the Healthier Futures Programme. and take responsibility for the development of a high performing team that deliversresults.

17. Responsible for setting and managing the resources of the Healthier Futures Digital Workstream team.

18. Responsible for ensuring that the patient remains at the centre of the Healthier Futures operational redesign and ensuring thatthere is a clear and evidential focus on reducing healthinequalities.

19. Provide expert support to the Chief Operating Officer andDirector ofOperations in all matters relating to Healthier Futures Digital Transformation.

20. Represent the CIO, Deputy CIO and Digital Programme Manager at meetings and ensure they are kept informed of issues and opportunities in relation to operationalimprovement.

21. Ability to influence Senior operational and transformation staff to enable decisions and actions to be taken that support the overall direction of travel of theproject.

22. Establish and maintain constructive, robust, and supportive relationships with clinicians and leaders across theorganisation

23. Demonstrate the ability to function competently and collaboratively both as a leader and credible member of the multi-disciplinary project team and understand and acknowledge the role and function of other members of the team. The post holder must be able to motivate the team and offer collective leadership to maintain pace of change, achieve clinical engagement and 'buy in' to ensure that they work effectively to meet projectobjectives.

24. Act as a role model by demonstrating leadership and expertise and by maintaining credibility across all stakeholders, always ensuring a positiveimage.

25. Develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure that activities are appropriately prioritised and allocated, and that effective supervision is in place to support work delegated to specific teams as part of thework.

26. To act as a change agent for the programme, participating in Healthier Futures engagement events, promoting digital working andengagement.

27. Ensure a healthy, safe and secure working environment, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting anyconcerns., 28. To support the Trust in digitally upskilling staff in readiness for the implementation of Intelligent Hospital Capabilties, developing measures to evaluate digital adoption, reporting results and developing action plans to support both the Trust Digital and IT trainingstrategies.

29. To act as a representative and advocate for digital working across the Trust, developing strategies for adoption to enable the success of the intelligent hospital capabilities and deliver against the Trust Digital Strategy.

30. Take responsibility for own learning and development by recognising and taking advantage of all opportunities to learn, including full participation inKSF/appraisal, supervision, action learning and by maintaining aprofessional/personal portfolio oflearning.
