Full Job Description
Are you an organised and enthusiastic administrator with a flair for people and events? Join Guild Care as our Administration & Events Assistant and play a key role in supporting our vibrant volunteering community. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your administrative skills with event coordination-helping us attract, support, and celebrate the volunteers who make our work possible., As our Administration & Events Assistant, you'll be the first point of contact for volunteer enquiries and a key support for the Volunteer Manager. You'll:
- Keep Things Running Smoothly: Manage volunteer records, maintain digital files, and support safe onboarding in line with Guild Care policies.
- Engage & Connect: Coordinate regular volunteer communications and respond to enquiries from schools, colleges, and community groups.
- Promote & Recruit: Help advertise volunteering opportunities across job boards, our website, and social media (in collaboration with Marketing).
- Support Events: Assist in the organisation and delivery of events-from recruitment fairs to volunteer thank-you celebrations.
- Report & Improve: Help compile data reports and gather feedback to support volunteer engagement and retention., This is a great short-term opportunity to work in a friendly and collaborative team, with sociable working hours that fit well around family life, caring responsibilities, or other commitments.
You'll thrive in this role if you're confident with Microsoft Office, have a great eye for detail, and enjoy building positive relationships across teams and communities., Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent time management, organisation, and planning abilities.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive and flexible approach.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications and online systems.
- Confident in data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends to support events. Desired criteria
- Experience in an administrative, HR, or recruitment role.
- Previous work in the voluntary sector or with volunteers.
