At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader - we're changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We're committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts. Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work - every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet. Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers - and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all. About the Role and Team: We believe in customer-centricity, authenticity, and bold innovation. Everyone is encouraged to bring their unique selves to work every day as we continue to connect people and create economic opportunity. We are currently seeking an Exceptions Associate to join our team in West London. In this role, you will support the team in dealing with exceptions related to the authentication process of high-end goods, such as sneakers, watches, and handbags. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in the authentication process and a passion for ensuring customer trust. As part of the Exceptions team, you will be helping eBay maintain its reputation as the leading marketplace for buying and selling authentic luxury goods. The team is dedicated to improving buyer trust, enhancing the eBay brand, and supporting sellers in driving conversions and improving sales price. What You Will Accomplish:
- Support the day-to-day management of exception activities, including handling items that couldn't be authenticated, have missing components, quality issues, or incomplete shipping details.
- Assist with the identification and resolution of exceptions to ensure a smooth experience for both buyers and sellers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Customer Service, Product, Legal, and our Vertical Business teams, to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Contribute to the improvement of processes and workflows by proposing ideas to improve efficiency and performance.
- Supervise and report on key performance indicators (critical metrics) related to exception management.
- Research and resolve issues or concerns through effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Stay flexible to changes in workflows and evolving responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support the team with daily operational needs.
- Develop strong working relationships with both internal teams and external partners. What You Will Bring:
- Strong interest in luxury goods and/or ecommerce.
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle and prioritize tasks independently.
- Analytical attitude with the ability to solve problems and identify areas for improvement.
- Proficiency with standard office tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, Slack, etc.).
- A team-oriented demeanour and a proactive approach to problem-solving. #LI-SI1 #LI-Onsite Please see the Talent Privacy Notice for information regarding how eBay handles your personal data collected when you use the eBay Careers website or apply for a job with eBay. eBay is an equal opportunity employer.
