You will be responsible for assisting the Production and Logistics teams to meet the commercial requirements of the business whilst maximising efficiency and upholding quality, health, safety, and environmental standards., As a Production Assistant your role will involve:

• Assisting Production and Logistics departments to meet customer requirements.
• Participating in daily meetings for seed production.
• Contacting farmers regarding loading requirements.
• Arranging haulage of seed inwards.
• Supporting the creation of Production Instructions for the factory teams.
• Supporting the delivery of seed out to customers.
• Complying with company procedures and customer requirements regarding transportation and storage of seed to produce desired levels of product quality and service.
• Ensuring administrative procedures are followed for production and logistics.
  
  Previous experience of an administrative or logistics role would be useful but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Full driving licence.
• Able to cope under pressure and work towards deadlines.
• A flexible approach to working hours specifically in peak periods.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Ability to work co-operatively with others and without supervision.
• IT literate with experience of using Microsoft office.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
