Full Job Description
We are looking to appoint an Estates Surveyor to join Pendle Council's Property & Engineering Services team. In this pivotal role, you will provide a professional valuation and surveying service and support managing a diverse range of council-owned land and properties. The Role
- Undertake valuations, disposals, and acquisitions of land and property in line with the Council's objectives.
- Manage Council-owned industrial estates, shops, offices, and commercial premises, ensuring effective marketing and maximum revenue generation.
- Advise on a variety of commercial property-related matters, including preparing Committee reports and providing guidance to Elected Members.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies, maintaining strong relationships with internal colleagues, external partners, and members of the public.
- Assist in budget preparation and maintain accurate records for operational expenditure.
You must be a Chartered Surveyor with current membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and be a Registered Valuer. - Substantial post-qualification experience in commercial estate management is essential, together with knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital, along with the ability to plan, organise, and meet deadlines.
