Full Job Description
To work on grounds maintenance projects, wildflower management, pond and watercourse maintenance, planting of native species. To work with the community volunteers to help them establish environmental enhancement schemes.
To assist in the council's goal of enhancing biodiversity in accordance with the Nature Recovery Plan (2019-2024). To work alongside other existing staff to establish and implement maintenance regimes that aid pollinators thereby bringing about a change in the way the environment is perceived and managed for the benefit of nature. To generate community interest and encourage volunteers to become involved in their environment., All employees are required to comply with their individual and organisational responsibilities under the Data Protection Act, the Information Security Policy and relevant supporting operational policies. Any matters of a confidential nature must not be disclosed or passed to any unauthorised persons or third party under any circumstance either during or after employment except in the proper course of your employment or as required by law, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council or both.
Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
