Full Job Description

This will involve duties such as, but not limited to, producing correspondence, administering student lunch arrangements, transport arrangements, orders and invoices, contacting suppliers, parents and other organisations. Essentially, you will be involved in every administrative aspect of running a school office.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Office Administrator (Level 3) to join our busy School Administration Team. This role would ideally suit someone with excellent administrative skills, good attention to detail, very good computer skills and an ability to multi-task. You will also have the ability to develop good working relationships with children, parents, colleagues and external members.,

  • A proven ability to prioritise a diverse workload and multitask
  • Proficiency in IT applications - An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft outlook, Word and Excel are essential and knowledge of SIMs, Weduc and Mstore is desirable
  • The ability to problem solve independently and within a team
  • Experience of producing / maintaining / evaluating data with accuracy
  • Have strong inter-personal skills and a caring nature
  • Good communication skills
  • Positive Outlook and sense of humour

    This is a temporary position to cover a maternity for 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year. This includes INSET days and one week during the school holidays. The hours of work will be 9.30am to 12.30pm Monday to Friday. The post is likely to last for one year or when the post holder returns, whichever is earlier., Ellesmere College provides education for up to 439 children and young people, from 4 to 19 years, with a range of moderate to complex learning difficulties.
  • This is a very exciting time for Ellesmere College as we continue to expand from 2 sites to 3 sites. We have our Aylestone Meadows Site and our Knighton Fields Centre which will be completed by a new Post-16 centre in the near future.
