Full Job Description

This is a full-time post; you will be working an 0.8 clinical practice / 0.2 non-clinical time working toward a 7/ 24 hour service. The ACP will be working alongside the EM clinician team and will continue to develop their advanced clinical assessment skills, be responsible for managing your own case load and assessing, treating, referring, or discharging patients in your care with the support from a senior clinician. The ACP will be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner in all areas of the Emergency Department, adult or paediatrics depending on portfolio evidence.

As an ACP in our Emergency Departments, you will be supported with regular clinical supervision, by our team of consultants, have access to multidisciplinary education and an individual learning plans as required. As an ACP, additional to your clinical role, there will be opportunities and expectation for you to take active roles in education, leadership and research projects within the Emergency Departments. The ACP is a senior member of the ED team, and is a role model , leader and expert in delivering emergency care to our patients.

We are looking for Advanced Clinical Practitioners, who are motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individuals with experience in emergency medicine. Individuals who are credentialed ACP's with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine curriculum or who have a comparable portfolio of evidence outlining your level of competence, equivalent to ST3 level practice in emergency medicine and who have completed an MSc advanced clinical practice or MSc ACP apprenticeship.
