Full Job Description

You will receive professional supervision alongside regular team reflective meetings and bi-monthly AMHP development forums. You will be joining a team of motivated, dedicated, and supportive colleagues. In Worcestershire we offer flexible and mobile working, with supporting technology, enabling you to work from a range of office bases, touch points and home. In addition to the above, support will also be provided through The Social Work Academy (SWA) who work closely with the AMHP Lead and Principal Social Workers across both Directorates to ensure that learning is continuous and supports practice improvement.

We welcome applications from qualified AMHPs whose professional background is not necessarily a social work qualification. We are seeking highly motivated, flexible individuals who have a proven track record and experience of AMHP practice, along with a highly competent level of skill in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Applicants will need to hold an acknowledged Approved Mental Health Professionals qualification and have evidence of their 18 hours continued professional development over the previous 12 months. Applicants will have 2 years minimum AMHP experience or dedicated AMHP hub experience previously. Applicants will be expected to hold high professional standards and act as a role model for the values and behaviours expected of the AMHP role, supporting the development of the AMHP service, and undertaking duties expected of AMHPs in line with the Professional Capabilities Framework and AMHP competencies. We are seeking highly motivated, flexible individuals who have a proven track record and experience of AMHP practice, along with a highly competent level of skill in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. To be successful in this role applicants will be able to demonstrate an extensive understanding of the legislation that governs the AMHP role for which they are applying, (Mental Health Act, The Care Act, and the Mental Capacity Act). Successful applicants will be joining a dedicated AMHP hub that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days per week (including Bank Holidays), providing a service to Worcestershire and will be working 37 hours (full time) across a shift pattern of days and nights. Early 8am - 19:00 pm, Late 11am - 22:00pm and night shift 21:30pm to 8:30am.
