Role Overview: As an Art Teacher, you will: Teaching and Curriculum:

  • Deliver inspiring, high-quality art lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach A-Level Art for the right candidate.
  • Develop and adapt curriculum materials to ensure students are engaged in a rich and challenging artistic experience, aligned with national standards.
  • Encourage creativity and foster a deep understanding of various artistic techniques and media, inspiring students to explore their creative potential.
  • Student Progress:
  • Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback that challenges students and supports their academic and personal growth.
  • Use data from assessments to inform your teaching, addressing learning gaps and ensuring all students have the opportunity to excel.
  • Professional Development:
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Art department, sharing best practices and innovative ideas.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives, extracurricular activities, and events that enhance the students' educational experience and the cultural life of the school.

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A Bachelor's degree in Art, Fine Art, Design, or a related discipline (desirable).
  • Experience:
  • Experience teaching Art at secondary school level with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply and will receive comprehensive support to aid their professional development.
