Full Job Description

Our fantastic Client is recruiting an Assistant Head Teacher/SENDCo to join their existing workforce team. This a fantastic opportunity to work with an independently run care provider and school based in Norwich. They are looking to recruit a Full Time Assistant Headteacher to oversee the day to day running of pupil s timetables, ensuring that EHCP outcomes are being met, alongside mentoring and evaluating teaching staff ensuring CPD is targeted and delivered, with whole school priorities being worked towards.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in delivering the SIDP ensuring provision and outcomes continue to be outstanding. Alongside this you will lead the SEN Co-ordination provision, ensuring all policies, practices and advice from external practitioners are implemented in a timely manner. The Assistant Headteacher will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating performance of all teaching staff, including CPD.

Main Duties
+ Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school s SEND provision across school
+ To participate in curriculum and management planning meetings, colleagues, parents and other agencies
+ Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and policies
+ Work on curriculum and pupil development to secure improved outcomes
+ Provide cover, in the unforeseen circumstances that another teacher is unable to teach
+ Providing support and guidance alongside working with parents, carers and external professionals to manage personalised learning plans

+ Qualified teacher status and ability to meet the needs of SEND pupils
+ SENCO qualification
+ NPQ Award
+ Experience of leading subjects and teams
+ Ability to effectively manage behaviour to ensure positive and safe learning environments and adapt accordingly
+ Experience of working with and strong knowledge of children with SEN and how they learn
+ Ability to communicate effectively with high levels of organisation
+ Experience of Ofsted Inspections
+ Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children
+ Knowledge of the Independent School Standards
+ Knowledge and experience of EHCP reviews
+ Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
+ Experience in leading CPD to staff and Personal education Plans (PEP)
