Full Job Description

We have a recent and exciting opportunity to appoint Assistant Practitioners in the Camden Mental Health Intensive Day Service at the Greenwood Centre in Kentish Town
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed individuals who enjoy working with service users with a broad range of mental health needs to support crisis reduction in the community.
The Intensive Day support service is based at the Greenwood Centre in Kentish Town, further integrates health and social care support services. This will provide flexible support for people with a serious mental illness ranging from urgent support needs to provision of longer term reablement and recovery support.
The full service will have three elements that offer different levels of support (timeframes may be flexed depending on an individual's needs):
+ 'Intensive Day Support', providing up to 8-weeks high level, support.
+ 'Reablement Day Support',
+ 'Recovery Day Support'
The Intensive part of this service is focused on supporting people rebuild structure and routine, develop interests, reconnect with community services and activities and codevelop wellbeing and self-management plans.
- We offer a wide range of activities from music and art therapy to exercise and budgeting, from psychology groups to gardening and, so much more.
- As part of the wider Day Support Service, our service users have access to many other creative and wellbeing activities, provided by experienced staff.

Successful applicants will likely need experience in a mental health setting within the NHS or other relevant organisation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are an expected pre-requisite as is the capacity to utilise all forms of electronic communication. The Trust uses electronic record-keeping throughout all its services and we are working towards becoming a paper-free organisation.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
