Full Job Description

You will support the Clinical Psychologists within the team providing specialist assessment and also support our service development by playing a key role in projects such as the creation of specialist resources, and in our audit and evaluation processes. The post holder will support Children and Young People and their families, delivering high service standards, sharing best practice, and actively improving the way we work.

Many graduates find that they have no option but to take on unpaid placement experience to gain the experience required for higher-level qualifications such as the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Owing to the intersectional nature of disadvantage, these uncertainties and volunteer culture have contributed to disproportionate disadvantage., We are looking for a Psychology Graduate, with previous experience of working with neurodivergent Children & Young People. The post holder will require strong communication and organisation skills, and a flexible approach which will ensure positive support during the process of assessment and post/pre-diagnostic support, and the ability to travel across Devon., We would like the people who work for Children and Family Health Devon to be understanding, patient and respectful. They should be trustworthy and make us feel safe and comfortable. It is important that they use their skills and experience to listen carefully in a non-patronising and non-judgemental way. When staff are positive and friendly, they help to create an environment that is informal and without pressure.

Successful applicants will be employed by Devon Partnership Trust (https://jobs.dpt.nhs.uk/locations/working-here )
