Enhance Hearing Care: Join Our Audiology Support Team Supporting Excellence in Audiology Services Across Our Community At North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, we are dedicated to providing exceptional audiology services at Peterborough City Hospital, Peterborough City Care Centre, and Stamford Hospital. We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Audiology Assistant to join our team and contribute to improving the lives of patients with hearing impairments., As an Audiology Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Audiologists and ensuring the smooth running of clinics. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Care & Support: Assist in children's hearing assessments and hearing aid clinics under supervision, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience for families.
  • Hearing Aid Maintenance: Perform routine hearing aid servicing, including retubing ear moulds, replacing batteries, and providing patients with clear instructions for use.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate patient records, manage stock and supplies, prepare ear moulds for manufacture, and assist with other clerical duties as needed.
  • Clinic Preparation: Support Audiologists in preparing clinics, patients, and equipment for appointments.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure all audiology equipment is prepared, maintained, and ready for use.
  • System Proficiency: Use Trust systems such as Auditbase and etrack to manage patient information efficiently.
  • Disability Awareness: Demonstrate sensitivity to the communication needs of hearing-impaired individuals.
  • Continuous Learning: Undertake relevant training to develop knowledge and work towards extended responsibilities.
