Full Job Description

The post holder is a key member of the Facilities and Sterile Service Decontamination/CEDU team and is expected to ensure that high quality administrative and secretarial support is provided at all times whilst enabling and supporting the management teams in both these areas.

The successful candidates will need to have gained previous experience of dealing with Quality systems and general secretarial/administration duties to enable them to assist both; the CEDU Manager in achieving BSI accreditation and supporting the Trust Decontamination Manager.

The position is 37.5 hours per week, with a possible weekend (due to Audit)

Main duties of the job

The post holder is a main point of contact for the Decontamination Senior Management team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Sterile Service Department.

The role will include providing joint on-site general administrative support to the Head of Decontamination and Head of Contracted Service; dealing with all relevant queries and complaints whilst ensuring they are responded to in a timely manner.

The post holder will support the Quality Coordinator in maintaining the Quality Management System in CEDU at Queen Elizabeth ensuring that relevant policies and procedures adhere to the British Standard for Medical Devices. They will also be responsible for administering and authorising the Trust finance and procurement systems. This includes administering revenue payments to suppliers for Sterile Service Decontamination/CEDU team.

They will be expected to prioritise their own workload, work independently within the Sterile Service Decontamination/CEDU teams.
