Full Job Description

The post holder will lead and inspire the team to deliver a high quality and effective service for service users and their families. Working in partnership with the Speciality Clinical Lead, the post holder will ensure excellent clinical standards are maintained within the team.

Effective caseload management will be underpinned by robust and effective individual and team supervision processes. In their day to day clinical work they will support the team around advanced practice such as CBT, DBT, Brief Solution Focus or Motivational Interviewing.

They will be expected to work in partnership with a range of primary health care professionals, statutory and non-statutory agencies and voluntary organisations in delivering a high quality, clinically effective interventions.

This post is open to newly qualified social workers. In line with AWP trust policy all newly qualified social workers (NQSW) will be recruited initially at Band 5 level, regardless of advertised role banding. All NQSW's are expected to successfully complete their ASYE within 2 years of employment, unless there are exceptional circumstances in which case it may be extended for a further 2 years., To provide clinical leadership to ensure when appropriate the service will work effectively alongside other services, to manage risk and work with young people who use substances with the most complex and acute needs.

To undertake and support the specialist ongoing assessment of substance misuse and mental health needs. To develop a robust plan of client centred care andclear pathways for sign posting and transferring at 18 years old.

To be responsible for, both individually and with in the team, the development, delivery and review of comprehensive and complex treatment programmes using appropriate frameworks in line with evidence-based practice, including strategies to manage risk for service users with complex needs. Within sphere of advanced practice, to be responsible for coordinating and delivering care to service users, also providing defined interventions to individuals on other workers caseloads.

To lead in partnership with Speciality Clinical lead, ensuring the service develops and maintains excellent clinical standards, and effective caseload supervision, underpinned by robust and effective individual and team supervision processes.
