Full Job Description

CAMHS services have received investment nationally and we have made significant developments within our CAMHS services, including Crisis and Home Treatment Team, Eating Disorder Service, WEST and the Youth Team. This has led to an increase in offer to CYP across Herefordshire and Worcestershire and has received positive feedback from Children, Families and Partner agencies., You will need to attend an interview and be enrolled at the University of Derby. The Post-graduate Diploma is a full time programme with 2 full days based at the University and 2.5 days in clinical practice in CAMHS where you would undertake CBT with children and young people for a minimum of 10hrs a week and 200hrs over the year. There will be 300hrs of scheduled teaching within the University. You will receive 35hrs supervision within the University and 35hrs from a CAMHS Clinical Supervisor experienced in CBT.

The course requires academic study including writing essays, case studies and completing a portfolio. The course aims to teach evidencebased CBT intervention for children, young people and families, requiring both academic knowledge and therapeutic skills with a reflective approach to practice, with a focus on CBT for anxiety and depression.

You would work clinically within the CAMHS Partnership team, hold a caseload, attend MDT meetings and attend training.

This is an exciting opportunity for a CAMHS Clinician who is passionate about working with CYPF who wants to develop skills in CBT. You would enrol on the CYP-IAPT 24 month post-graduate diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy beginning in Spring 2025.

If you have a core professional qualification, degree/degree level access programme, 2 years full time therapeutic experience in a mental health setting working clinically with CYPs, a strong interest in CBT and are able to commit to the requirements of the course then this may be the opportunity for you.

Due to the demands of the course, successful applicants will need to take up a full-time position.
