Full Job Description

The Children's services in Oxford are recruiting part time and full time band 5 nurses for the Theatre Direct Admissions (TDA) service. Weekdays 07:15-15:15.
TDA is a dedicated area within Robins Ward in the Children's Hospital for patients waiting pre-operatively. The role will include supporting patients and their families throughout the admissions process, preparing children for theatre and liaising with bed managers and ward teams.
Our Matrons, Ward Sisters, and other colleagues pride themselves in offering supportive mentoring, creating an environment that enables all staff to maximise their full potential, with excellent patient care and high staff morale at the heart of everything we do. You will also be supported by the clinical education team.

Robin's Ward is the specialist surgery ward caring for children requiring craniofacial surgery, cleft lip and palate, plastics, ENT and Neurosurgery. The Hospital's Theatre Direct Admission service also runs from Robin's Ward.
