Full Job Description

Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (S-CAMHS), ARFID Service.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is looking to appoint an innovative, proactive and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our new specialist service for children and young people with Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). This is an exciting opportunity to join this new service as the Clinical Lead for Occupational Therapy within this new and evolving area of practice. This service is based within the S-CAMHS Eating Disorder Service with professional occupational therapy support from the Service Lead for Occupational Therapy services with Children and Young People., You will be expected to carry a complex caseload working within clinic, education and home environments and will be required to liaise closely with the MDT within the ARFID service along with occupational therapists within other roles supporting Children and Young People within the Health Board.

You will also be required to liaise with professional networks across Wales and the United Kingdom relating to your area of specialism as part of both service development, clinical governance and to improve clinical practice.

The post holder will also be expected to offer training and support to the wider Occupational Therapy Service for Children and Young People, supervise staff and offer clinical placements to support the development of occupational therapy students within Wales.
