Full Job Description

The successful candidate will be expected to:
+ Deliver hands on, face to face training to staff, in groups and one to one sessions
+ Provide support and orientation for New Starters
+ Provide support to ward staff, identifying gaps in knowledge and working with individuals towards a competency framework
+ Undertake assessment to confirm that staff have met the required standard of competence
+ Act as a role model for provision of high quality and safe care
+ Work closely with the band 7 Theatre Practice Development Lead, ensuring requirements are prioritised and clinical standards are met and maintained, Happy to Talk Flexible Working - all requests for flexible and part time working will be considered.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic healthcare professional with teaching experience and a passion for clinical education to join Hampshire Hospitals Surgery Division in Main Theatres as a Practice Educator.
We are looking for an experienced nurse/ ODP who is an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with proven facilitation and leadership qualities. You will be involved in delivering an extremely high standard of care whilst providing support, training and education to our nursing and wider workforce.
We recognise that education and leadership positively influence the quality of patient care, therefore you will work with key stakeholders to support the development and facilitation of a programme of education across the division, aligned to divisional priorities, + Shortlisted candidates will be contacted at least 5 working days before the scheduled interview date.
