Full Job Description
As a Commercial Assistant at National Highways, your role will involve providing vital administrative and organisational support to the Commercial teams. You will be responsible for assisting the commercial team to assess payment applications using National Highways 'Confirm' Enterprise Asset Management portal. Additionally, you will play a key role in the periodic payment assessment cycles, ensuring all payments are processed within contract timescales, and collating and distributing payment information. Your responsibilities will also include assisting with commercial administration, managing correspondence, and developing and maintaining commercial registers and operating systems to support efficient operations. The successful candidate will be based in our Birmingham or Nottinghamshire office, however here at National Highways we offer a flexible hybrid working approach, meaning the role will be a combination of office and agile home working
- Assisting the commercial team to assess payment applications using 'Confirm'
- Prepare and issue supply chain communications and monitor required responses
- Minute taking and distribution of documentation
- Manage own work according to business need, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Accept personal responsibility for safety of self and others, reporting unsafe conditions and near miss incidents
Ability to work effectively with others in an office environment and delivering an efficient customer service - Previous experience of providing administrative support
- Functional / Technical Skills
- Ability to use office software products and databases to contribute to production / maintenance of a range of reports, documents and spreadsheets
- Ability to communicate effectively
