Full Job Description

We are seeking Community Health Care Assistants to support an efficient, effective, and quality adult community nursing service in Guildford and Waverley. You will deliver delegated health care activities including venepuncture and wound care predominantly to people in their homes. We have full time, part time and bank hours available Monday to Sunday between 8 am and 8 pm.

Procare are committed to supporting the development of all employees to their full potential and all employees working within the Procare Community Services adult community nursing service will additionally have access to the staff benefits, learning and development opportunities offered by the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust., The post holder will be required to perform a range of health care assistant activities in the community setting and will work without direct supervision under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This post holder will need to ensure that all relevant policy, protocols, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed. The post holder will need to have health care assistant skills in basic wound care, venepuncture, catheter care etc and have a level 2 NVQ or equivalent., The Procare Chief Operating Officer is a Nurse by background, who has a real passion for all aspects of Community working. Our board is clinically led with a Director of Nursing and GPs who have vast community experience, ensuring that Procare has the expertise and knowledge base needed to develop sustainable integrated services.

in the community setting for patients at home where the health and wellbeing of the individual would be compromised
by travel. Health Care activities will include venepuncture, wound dressings, blood glucose monitoring, insulin
Administration, continence reassessments, ordering and managing stock items.
