The opportunity is to work on a large complex project in the Defence Sector and will require Security ClearanceWhat you'll be doing As a Construction Manager in a stable business, you will:

  • Be essential to the success, safety and quality of construction projects
  • Manage, motivate and coach a multi-disciplinary team - including the integration and monitoring of trade contractors
  • Make sure that customer specifications and project objectives are met - considering everything from safety and risk to quality and time
  • Draw up realistic short-term programmes and track progress
  • Collaborate with other experts across teams that include project management, commercial, operations, health and safety and external suppliers.
  • Build on your track record of managing site logistics and operational delivery within a construction or related environment
  • Communicate safe systems of work and implement improvements
  • Use your working knowledge of health and safety legislation to apply H&S systems, coach people to produce H&S documents, and guide others in incident investigation

    As a Construction Manager, you will:
  • Have experience in leading and developing individuals.
  • Possess previous Construction Management experience within the built environment
  • Have involvement in developing and executing work package/ subcontractor budgets.
  • Be familiar with work package/ subcontractor programme and sort interval control management.
  • Be experienced in handling safety management on construction sites and implementing safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate an awareness in negotiating contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Be self-sufficient in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges both down and upstream during construction projects.
  • Identify and initiate value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
  • Have previous experience of utilising environmentally sustainable practices in construction projects.
  • Be familiar with utilising construction technology and software for project management and documentation.
  • Have previous experience of managing large scale fit out projects
