Full Job Description

  • Transport digital units from the depot to the installation site via a HGV truck (after training)
  • Break ground and install digital units.
  • Replace component level parts on digital units.
  • Work with your crew partner to manage your workload within the agreed timescales, and in partnership with other local teams.
  • Follow the Construction Design and Management regulations 2015.
  • Make sure traffic management is in place before starting work with segregation/prevention measures to prevent unauthorised people within your working area.
  • Follow our Health and Safety policy and the site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
  • Correctly use equipment (including working at height), maintain and keep tools/equipment safe on site.

    Are you someone who likes working outdoors and has some experience in simple groundworks and installation?
  • Would you be interested in training to gain your HGV Class 2 Driving Licence? If you're someone who can learn on the job and turn your hand to various manual tasks, then this role could be what you are looking for., If you're not Class 2 HGV qualified then we'll train you up and cover the costs, however you must be able to commute independently to and from your base depot in St Helens, in your own transport.,
  • Full driving licence with no more than 3 points
  • CPCS Slinger
  • Competency in CAT use.
  • NRSWA accreditation to Operative standard
  • Excavation and sub-structure knowledge
  • Understanding of RAMS
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Competency in use of power tools such as Hydraulic breakers and Disc Saws

We're excited to be working on some interesting projects next year and now looking for a Construction Operative to join our growing team in St Helens. What will you be doing?     This will involve travelling to sites (roadsides and public areas) within the North West area and occasionally further afield dependent on business needs. You'll receive an attractive salary of £34,000, annual bonus, paid annual leave 25 days plus bank holidays, training and development and fully expensed tools and PPE.
