We are looking for versatile, enthusiastic individuals to join our Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry teams to support us on our improvement and transformation journey. This a fantastic time to join us we need forward thinking, dynamic change agents to join our teams who would offer first class clinical leadership and clinical care across all our Mental Health Specialities and who will support is in our on-going journey of transformation by bringing new ways looking at issues and thinking about how we deliver services. You must be registered with a licence to practice with the GMC with a CCT in General Adult Psychiatry. or Old Age Psychiatry or MRCPsych or recognised equivalent is a requirement for this post. All applicants must have Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician Status when taking up this post.   • Main duties of the job The post-holder will be based at Parklands Hospital, Basingstoke and will be responsible for providing clinical care, RC responsibility and treatment for up to 12 patients per WTE post spread between 2 newly refurbished single sex 18-bedded acute wards (Cherry ward - female and Juniper ward - male) as well as providing clinical leadership to the team. This inpatient role stands out from other acute psychiatric inpatient roles currently advertised because of the favourable ration of medical time per patient. The post-holder will have a maximum of 12 inpatients at any point in time. They will have the support of a middle grade doctor (Specialty Doctor) as well as several resident doctors at different levels of experience (1 FY doctor, 1 T doctor and 1 SpR). The roles available are for a full time role on the female ward, working alongside a part time substantive colleague, as well as a part time role on the male ward, working alongside a full time substantive colleague.,
