Control & Instrument Engineer

Control and Instrument Technician for a Chemical site in the Grimsby area. This role will be hands on, someone who wants to step up into a more senior role, but also someone who may be looking to slow down and can install some calm and experience. • Provide the Control, software development and Instrumentation support to the Control Systems Engineer for the sites continuous improvement strategy and ongoing projects
Main Accountabilities :
• Ensure Compliance to all site Safety Health & Environment procedures within area of responsibility.
• Responsible for site control system projects including front end design, programming, commissioning and handover to operations
• Manage external project C & I resources ensuring relevant competency and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed
• Day to day troubleshooting of issues related to Instrumentation and control systems.
• Deputy for Control Systems Engineer
• Continual communication link between C&I and Production Personnel on all C&I Aspects.
• Site support out of hours of issues related to Instrumentation and control systems.
  
  Education : HND or HNC in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years experience within chemical manufacturing ideally at a COMAH site.
• Experience of plant control systems. Ideally awareness of IEC61511 .
• Knowledge and experience of ATE
• Responsible for providing support for all day to day operations and development projects around the Site instrumentation and control systems.
