Are you interested in joining a small, friendly team that is continually striving to improve the standard and quality of care for patients with cancer and haematological disorders in the outpatient setting?, As a band 6 Deputy Nurse Manager you will contribute to the smooth running of the department, acting as a role model for junior team members and support the development and delivery of a high standard of nursing care. You will work closely with the Outpatients Sister, acting as deputy in their absence, and provide clinical and managerial leadership to the team. The successful applicant will take the lead in a specific area of practice/project work in the outpatient environment. The role will also involve providing patients with health education, line care and venesection, phlebotomy, cannulation and associated elements of treatment.

We aim to provide a service tailored to individual patients' needs as well as ensuring staff are supported through clinical supervision, educational programmes and on-going professional development. The Cancer and Haematology Outpatients department at the Churchill Hospital are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and innovative nurse to join our team as a Deputy Nurse Manager to help the team achieve the best care for patients.

This is a very busy department seeing up to 300 patients a day and is open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend shifts. We work in a modern environment in the Cancer Centre with access to shops and cafes.
