Full Job Description

Scholars School System, a project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB, a registered charity founded in 2006), is seeking Deputy Programme Lead - Health and social Care across all campuses, including Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bradford, and Leicester, based in the Birmingham campus. Reports to: Director of Operations, Scholars School System is seeking to appoint a Deputy Programme Lead- Health and Social Care to play a key role in supporting the direction of the Scholars School System, providing vision, direction and inspirational operational leadership and championing the enhancement of education for the health and social care portfolio across all campuses.,

  • Oversee and guide learning outcomes, teaching plans, program structure, content quality, and teaching approaches, ensuring organizational and statutory compliance.
  • Support the Programme Lead in managing Health and Social Care courses across campuses, maintaining quality and academic excellence.
  • Apply knowledge from scholarship, academic practice, and professional standards to enhance teaching, including module leadership and related activities.
  • Promote innovation and excellence in student education, leveraging digital and other resources to support learning, with a focus on student partnership.
  • Manage all aspects of the student academic journey, ensuring accurate records and student progression, under the guidance of the Associate Dean.
  • Provide day-to-day operational management for the relevant subject area.
  • Act as a key contact with partner institutions and staff.
  • Deputize for the Programme Lead, attend relevant committees/boards, and report on delivery progress, writing reports as required.
  • Work with the Senior Management Team to ensure alignment and sharing of best practices and innovation across the University.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring all staff and students feel valued and included.

    BSc/Master's Degree in a health-related subject
  • Higher education teaching qualification such as PGCert/SFHEA
  • Proven experience of leading department/team within a higher education setting within United Kingdom.

    £45,000 - £50,000
  • Basic hours are 9am to 6pm on site
  • Trips away from the office are often required
  • Holiday entitlement is 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Up to £5k annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period
  • 3% annual increase per year on completion from your start date of service and on meeting KPIs
