Full Job Description

To deputise in the absence of the Ward Manager in assisting & providing leadership to the Ward Teams in delivering a high standard of care

Developing & maintaining clinical skills & knowledge necessary to provide person centred evidence based care.

Work in collaboration across all professional boundaries promoting effective relationships.

Ensure compliance within our clinical governance framework, motivating colleagues, championing service user safety and driving for continuous improvement

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated individual with acute medical/HDU experience to join our friendly team at the Horton hospital. The successful candidate should have undertaken the mentors course . Current possession of ALS/ILS certification & completion of an appropriate post graduate certificate in either cardiac/respiratory nursing are essential.

The role of the Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse requires an individual who has a genuine passion for delivering high standards of clinical care and who are driven to deliver leadership skills within a supportive and proactive environment.

To support successful candidates a Band 6 competency framework is in place which is required to be completed.

The post includes internal rotation to nights and weekends.
