Full Job Description

We are looking for a Dietician to work one day per week as a member of our multi-professional team, liaising closely with our service users, catering staff, and other health care professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting people with eating disorders and have a passion for working in this field.

Althea Park House is a specialist residential service providing medium to long-term support and treatment for young people and young adults (aged 16-25) suffering from eating disorders and other associated complex mental health difficulties. Althea Park House has 7 beds as well as a Semi-Independent Step Down Home called The Anchor which offers a further 3 beds.

We are fortunate to provide treatment and care in welcoming, homely environments, within the beautiful Stroud Valleys, in Gloucestershire.

Our therapeutic model focuses on supporting our service users to build a life outside of the confines of their eating disorder or indeed, mental illness. We work hard to support those that live in our homes, to build their own resilience, sense of self and ability to connect with the world around them.

The Dietician will work within departmental guidelines and procedures with a range of activities such as recipe development and nutritional analysis, menu and meal planning, ensuring allergen compliance, recording and monitoring anthropometric measurements, and audit or research projects as required. A vital part of this role will be meeting with service users on a regular basis to discuss their nutritional needs and weight trends, and support them with planning and adhering to their meal plans.

Due to limits on sponsorship allocations we are not currently in a position to offer sponsorship to new candidates for these roles, this remains under review.

As one of the UK's leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services, Priory promise a challenging and fulfilling career with the support of a world class organisation willing to invest in your development. Across our network of hospitals, residential care homes and supported living services, we are making a real and lasting difference to the lives of the people we support.
