Full Job Description

The postholder is a key member of the senior Clinical Directorate leadership team and will develop and implement Directorate plans to secure the agreed objectives for the Clinical Directorate and make a positive contribution to delivery of health care across the local health community.

OUH maternity is a tertiary level service with a workforce of over 500 staff, including consultants, midwives, and nurses. The key responsibilities for this role include overall operational leadership for the service, working as part of the triumvirate team alongside the Clinical Director and the Director of Midwifery. The emphasis is on strategic direction, improvement, and development for maternity services, ensuring alignment with significant national guidance, regulation, and recommendations., Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country.
