Full Job Description

We are looking for three dedicated Domestic Assistants to join our team covering Glanrhyd Hospital, Maesteg Hospital and various community sites. All three roles are for 25 hours per week. In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for a full range of cleaning tasks, including general ward cleaning, specialised cleans and operating machinery as needed. While based at Glanrhyd hospital, you will also support other nearby sites as required., The Domestic post covers all cleaning disciplines with ward based duties within the Facilities department, , Experience in these disciplines would be advantageous, although not essential as full training is given . We expect full flexibility in the successful candidate to be able to cover Glanrhyd, Maesteg Hospital and the Community sites within Bridgend locality. 25 hours per week pro rata, Shift times work 9.00am-2.00 or 3.00pm -8.00pm over 3 week rota including weekends.

Experience in a similar role would be desirable, but not essential as full training would be provided. We're looking for someone who has an understanding of the importance of hygiene and a knowledge of COSHH, is able to communicate well with patients, staff and visitors and is flexible and willingness to travel between sites., The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
