Full Job Description

This unique SENCO role will primarily be remote, with minimal travel required to support our personalised education programmes across the Midlands, Cheshire, and Gloucestershire. As part of the HEAL Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee tailored learning pathways for students aged 5-19, ensuring they receive the care, education, and opportunities they need to thrive. HEAL delivers short-term, individualised programmes combining direct home tutoring and online learning, focusing on academic and vocational goals. Our approach is trauma-informed, designed to re-engage students and help them rediscover their love for learning. Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the HEAL programme, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Collaborate with tutors to design and deliver bespoke timetables that address students' individual learning needs.
  • Work closely with local authorities and external agencies to secure appropriate provisions for learners.
  • Provide guidance and training for tutors, fostering trauma-informed approaches in all educational settings.

    SENCO Qualification (or nearing completion).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in a SENCO role within an educational setting.
  • Robust understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and experience working with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) pupils.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
