Full Job Description

First Class Supply are working with a school based in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint a part-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.

This role is to work Monday to Friday, mornings.

Duties include:

· Supporting 2 children with a range of additional needs, this will include undertaking activities directed by the teacher (only working with 1 child at a time)

· Mange and de-escalate challenging behaviours

· Ensure that appropriate records and administration systems are maintained and to ensure confidentiality of information.

Successful applicants will be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable. You must also possess the following:

· A relevant Level 2 or above childcare qualification

· Experience of working with children with additional needs

· Experience in and passionate about working with young children

· Able to communicate effectively and to build positive relationships
