Full Job Description

Come and work for a rewarding organisation, joining our exceptional talent in the Gloucestershire Employment and Skills Hub which provides a central source of information and support for residents and businesses. Our aim is to help residents access learning and work opportunities, as well help employers get the right people, with the right skills, in the right roles. We are a team of dedicated professionals who thrive on helping people to achieve their learning and employment aspirations.

The role of the Employer Engagement Adviser is supporting our new initiative 'One Hundred Futures' which has been created to support 100 young people aged between 16 and 24 to undertake a work placement which will help them to build skills, awareness and confidence, helping them to move into paid employment. Your role within this initiative is to work alongside employers to understand the benefits of and overcome any resistance to employing young people with complex barriers to employment. Identify opportunities for young people to gain work placements, attend workplace visits, sustainable paid employment and to positively influence other Gloucestershire employers to recruit and retain people.

You will have the ability to develop a range of close links with partnership organisations. You must be customer focused and ideally have knowledge of employment policies, procedures and welfare services; including the ability to develop your understanding of local labour-market demographics; enabling you to work with local employers to match their needs to the abilities of individuals.

If you meet the criteria and are enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to build effective relationships, then apply today. This is a fantastic opportunity to positively contribute to maximising independence of people in the community, through offering guidance and support.

If you are proactive and enjoy working within a team, then this could be the ideal role for you., We want to be an employer of choice, attracting and retaining excellent people to work for us, so that we can best serve all of Gloucestershire's diverse communities. Our promise to you is that we will provide an inclusive and supportive working environment that enables you to bring your whole self to work and realise your full potential.

It is a legal requirement, under the Immigration Act 2016, that anyone appointed to a 'customer facing role' must be able to demonstrate an ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in fluent English.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for the majority of our roles, giving teams the opportunity to work in a way that suits them, balancing service need and individual choice, with a mix of both remote and office working.
