Full Job Description

Do you want to help shape our city for future generations? We are looking to appoint to the role of a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer within the Planning and Development department. You will be working for one of the country's largest planning authorities within a can-do Directorate that combines a range of service areas. Providing advice and support to councillors, developers and members of the public, you will handle a caseload of enforcement investigations and enquiries. You will make site visits, attend meetings, draft reports, and make written recommendations. Negotiating with applicants and third parties on enforcement and related planning matters. You will be working in a team of professional staff undertaking a business critical role in ensuring that complaints are investigated and responded to, in order to maintain confidence in the planning process. This is a challenging role, fast paced but enjoyable.
