Estates Operative

This is a busy role within the Estates and Grounds Team, operating across multiple sites. The post holder will carry out a varied range of duties, to ensure safety, security, maintenance and cleanliness of the site and premises and will include repairs and remedial action, regulatory maintenance checks and paperwork, painting and decorating, small electrics and plumbing, moving and handling, together with all other tasks associated with a busy maintenance role., Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs

Liaise with contractors for major repair work

Ensure heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly

Vigilant to ensure site security is not breached

Open up buildings in the morning and lock them at the end of the day

Arrange chairs and tables for meetings and clear them away afterwards

The successful candidate will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills, high expectations and a real commitment to achieving the very highest of standards.
