Full Job Description

Alvaston Infant and Nursery School wishes to appoint an Experienced Teacher who expects the highest standards of children within their care. The successful candidate will have a good depth of knowledge about the KS1 and the Early Years curriculum and depending on skill set would become the teacher of a EYFS or KS1 class. Teaching posts at our school do not come around often but, we are a forward thinking school who are constantly adapting to the meet the evolving needs of our children whilst ensuring the wellbeing and workload of our staff are never compromised.   • Has an outstanding knowledge of child development and how children learn within EYFS and/or KS1.
  • Can teach highly effectively.
  • Is an excellent communicator.
  • Takes time to build and nurture relationships with every member of our school community.
  • Is able to share their learning with others and who, in turn, is eager to learn from others.
  • Can prioritise workload and who can record information clearly and accurately. Is committed to sharing their views regarding educational topics.
  • Can evidence successful leadership of a subject.
