Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is the place to be! We have developed an innovative, integrated model of childrens community services and now looking to appoint enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and dedicated locality and county-wide professional teams.

We are excited to be advertising for Band 7 Family Therapist in our Mood, Emotions, and Relationships pathway (CAMHS). This post will be 30 hours per week and we will also consider those who are currently pursuing their qualifying training. Your role will revolve around providing vital therapeutic support within your specialised pathway.

Children and Family Health Devon, your day to day revolves around making a meaningful impact on the lives of those managing complex emotional and mental health challenges.

Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities are varied. You will conduct thorough assessments to identify the unique needs of families. These assessments provide the groundwork for developing personalised, evidence-based intervention.

Managing a caseload is central to your role. You will oversee cases and ensure steady progress while effectively managing any risks that may arise.

You will be a source of support and supervision for your fellow clinicians. Your role as a compassionate leader will contribute to their well-being and the overall effectiveness of the team.

You will work seamlessly with colleagues from various backgrounds and levels of experience to implement care strategies that are rooted in evidence. This collaborative effort ensures that every family receives the tailored support they need.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will be on the front line of delivering expert family therapy interventions. Your work will be tailored to the specific needs of each child, young person, and their family. This means a diverse caseload that will challenge and inspire you, providing ample room for professional growth and development.

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) comprises an Alliance of NHS organisations working together to improve health outcomes for children and young people in Devon.

CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health. We are working closely with other organisations and providers to ensure we deliver locality and county-wide based integrated access to all of our services, based on the i-Thrive Framework, in response to consultation with our service users and communities.

CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.

Our integrated care and treatment has been developed and refined in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers.
