Full Job Description

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Salary: £31,800.00 Shift patterns: Sunday to Thursday AM Shift 7am until 3pm Location: Milton Keynes DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a First Line Manager - Warehouse to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • To directly assist management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
  • To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
  • Overseeing Health and Safety procedures onsite whilst supporting the shop floor team where needed
  • Carry out daily shift briefs and review the previous nights performance with your team

  • Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader is essential
  • Previous experience of working within a Multi-Temp Warehouse desired
  • Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
  • Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
