This service is expected to meet the requirements laid out in the specialised services commissioning documents published by NHS England.
The post holder is also expected to fully participate in all departmental activities including teaching, training, audit and clinical governance. The candidate will ideally have undertaken a Spinal Surgery fellowship and will need to be competent in the management of spinal trauma.

While it has been agreed between the professions that they will perform such duties, additional commitments arising under this sub-section are exceptions and you should not be required to undertake work of this kind for prolonged periods or on a regular basis.
We have trainees at all levels (F1 to ST8). The successful candidate would be expected to take part in training and ongoing assessment along with supporting our commitment to teaching medical students from Brighton and Sussex Medical school (BSMS).
